100% cotton worsted weight yarn

Crochet hook: size I 5.5mm

Directions

Make 2 – I used 2 different colors, but you may also make with the same color for both sides.

Chain 22

Row 1: In 3rd chain from hook, Half Double Crochet (HDC) in each chain across. Chain 2, turn.

Row 2: HDC across. Chain 2, turn.

Row3: HDC across. Chain 2, turn.

Row 4: HDC Cross Stitch ( *skip first stitch, HDC in next, HDC in skipped stitch, repeat from * across). Chain 2, turn.

Rows 5 & 6: Repeat Row 3

Row 7: Repeat Row 4

Rows 8 & 9: Repeat Row 3

Row 10: Repeat Row 4

Rows 11 & 12: Repeat 3

Row 13: Repeat 4

Rows 14 & 15: Repeat Row 3. At end of row 15, only Chain 1. Turn

Single Crochet (SC) in each stitch on all 4 sides. Put 3 SC at each corner. Slip-stitch to join. Tie off. Weave in ends.

After both sides are completed, place them back to back, join yarn at 1 corner and Slip Stitch (SS) around to join both sides together. Before joining to first slip stitch, chain 8 and then make final slip stitch into first SS. Tie off. Weave in ends.
