I love September!! As my friend Diana would say, “It’s the first ‘ber‘ month!” Finally!! September, October, November, December. We are finished with August, with the heat and humidity, and welcome in the month that brings in cooler mornings and evenings, truly sweater weather. This is the month when eating candy corn is not frowned upon, thank goodness. There are many new beginnings in September.
It’s back to school time (although many students started in August, all students are back in school in September). As a retired teacher, September is a time to reminisce, thinking about when I welcomed new students into my classroom, eager 7th and 8th graders who wanted to learn how to cook and work in a kitchen. September also makes me wonder… where did the time go? Thirty years teaching, and now 4 years retired. It does go by fast. Here’s a previous post on Back to School Crochet Projects.
Football is back!! Once a football mom, always a football mom, and I am very happy college and NFL football seasons have begun. I LOVE watching College Game Day on Saturday mornings and NFL games on Sunday. I love watching Pat McAfee each weekday. Here’s some football family history and why I root for the Kansas City Chiefs
September is Mindy’s Crochet Moments website birthday month! It has been up and running for 2 years now. Plans for Year 3 include posting more often, share about those who inspire me in hopes of inspiring others.
September is the Beginning of Fall, and this year we have a Fall Wedding happening as my youngest son Nick, and his fiancé Laura will be married November 1st. It should be a beautiful time of year, and the perfect time to walk down the aisle. Two years ago in October, my middle son was married. Here is the past post Wedding Fun!.
I don’t think I know anyone who doesn’t enjoy Fall. So thank you September for finally arriving, and making everyone just a little happier. Much love to all of you.
